Your main job is progressing through the original, full campaign. The Adventure Mode is the original campaign spanning day, night, pool, fog, and rooftop stages. As you progress, you will move through different settings. Each setting brings new rules and enemies for you to master.
You must adapt your resource generation based on the time of day. At higher levels, zombies may attack at night when your Sunflowers cannot produce solar energy. In these situations, Mushrooms generate sunlight but cost less to place. You must collect sunlight to fuel your defense.
You must try different defense lineups to counter unique zombies. Each plant has a unique role, like the Peashooter firing bullets or the Wall-nut absorbing damage. You must mix different plant combinations to keep the gameplay fresh and effective.
